Pentahotel Leuven

Hotel is outdated, carpet need to be changed and shower-curtain sticks to your body while you take a shower. Hotel rooms that faces the narrow street and the front square get in a lot of noise from the crowd that comes out of the pubs at night, one pub named "Pavlov" was open until 04.00 AM, crowd stayed then all outside talking and screaming until 05.00 AM. We had so a bad night and a bad Hotel experience. I complained at the front desk of the Mercure Hotel, they told me that next time I should ask for a hotel room at the back-side. this is what I had asked for when I made my booking. I would not recommend this hotel.

Good location in the centre of Leuven and an effective staff

There was two times a problem with the doorlock.

Many restraunts are existed in walking distance.

Taxi driver can not recognize how to reach this hotel due to the road construction in the Lueven center. This was so bad experience and many others are faced same trouble. Some notice to the taxi companys from this hotel may be useful to resolve this trouble.

Close to city centre. Comfortable room. Good breakfast.

Not easy to find by car and when found, the hotel parking sign (on roadside) was only in Flemish (not English) - so we ended up driving round again and only realised where parking was when a car in front of us indicated the way.

Vicinity to the restaurants (pedestrian area starts right here) and the 2 central squares (Oude Markt, Grote Markt) with bars and cafe's.

Heating controls in the room were hard to manage and as a consequence the room was very hot.

The property was in the centre of the city. The staff was extremely helpful and caring and we greatly enjoyed it.

Well-equipped and brand-new room with comfortable beds and sensational breakfast. Ideal, magnificent location close to Town Hall, all restaurants and bars and the lobby/breakfast/other public areas, attentive staff. Also, in Center of Leuven.

I loved relaxing by the sun terrace and playing pool in the leisure room! The room was comfy, but I wish the coffee supplies were checked more often. Overall, it's a great spot to unwind, just make sure to grab breakfast early to beat the crowds! 😊

Comfortable hotel - 24 hr reception which was great for late flight. Also able to use the facility of the room up to 12 noon on the day of leaving

Parking, although pricey, is worth it, given its central location. The hotel did send directions in a follow up e-mail in regards to on-going road work. We did not do breakfast, although it was offered at 9 Euro over the weekend, reflecting a 50% discount. There are a number of coffee shops and bakeries near the hotel to offer a taste of Belgium at a good price. Overall, enjoyed our stay!

Noise levels from nightlife significantly disturbed sleep!!! Inconsistent hot water availability during busy morning hours was quite irritating!!! Complex car park access procedures made arrival a hassle!!!
